“The Smile”

A quick story…..

There is an old woman that comes into my work almost everyday named Margaret. (The same name as my grandma ironically)  I always noticed that she always came in with good spirits and was always so happy.  One day I went up to her and asked her what her secret was because I noticed how much she is always smiling.  She told me the thing that keeps her happy and going is staying active.  I applauded her and told her that I really appreciated how happy and smiley she always was.

A week later she came in and handed me a folded up piece of paper.  In the paper was a hand written quote that she had written for me to read.  It was a quote that her mother posted on the refrigerator when she was young and the same quote was now posted on her refrigerator.  Here is a picture of the actual piece of paper sweet, happy and smiley Margaret gave me.
