The Power Of A Jukebox…..
Was sitting having a glass of wine with some friends the other night and the music in the background was fed directly from a jukebox that people would put money into and select a couple songs they wanted to hear… Here is why I now love jukeboxes…
- The diversification of music
- You are forced to listen to something you normally would not listen too and you are forced to listen to the entire song
- You hear songs that you like that you never have heard
- Each song puts you in a different mood and different thought patterns
I wrote down the songs I heard while sitting there:
ACDC-Shook me all night long
Johny Cash-Walk the line
Modest Mouse-Float on
Top Gun Soundtrack-Highway to the danger zone
Lauren Hill-That thing
White Stripes-Fell in love with a girl
Van Morrison-Moon Dance
Van Morrison-Brown Eyed Girl
But there were two songs that really stuck out to me so here are the youtube videos of them….
MGMT has some good songs. My favorites are probably “Electric Feel” and “Of Moons, Birds, and Monsters”
