Wellness/Fitness…In A Deck Of Cards….

It’s been a while since I posted a “Wellness” blog so I am going to share an awesome life changing work out that you can do anywhere even on the road while traveling.  All you need is a standard deck of cards.

This workout is taken from Crossfit but its called the “Deck of Death” and there are various different movements but here is the basic.  The entire workout is done with just body weight.  Sounds easy huh…Just give it a try.  So each suit is a different movement for example:

Hearts= Sit Ups

Spades= Air Squats (Squat down low and stand all the way up)

Clubs= Push Ups

Diamonds= Burpees (Throw yourself to the ground hit your chest and push yourself back up to your feet and do a small jump off the ground while clapping your hands behind your head)

and the number of reps corresponds to the number on the card where face cards are always 10 and Aces are 11.  That’s the workout.  The other nice thing is that you can test your improvement by timing how long it takes you each time.

Want to get more creative.  If you have a pull up bar you can add pull ups for one of the suits.  Also you can add a movement for Jokers (like a sprint, Pull ups, Handstand push ups, Row, Jump Rope, etc.)

A full body workout and all you need is a deck of cards.  Enjoy!
